Of all the men he met in his life, Gaitonde finds Dilbagh Singh most honest and trustworthy of all. And when almost everyone betrayed him, he recalled his memories of Dilbagh Singh and chose to trust only kin of him to save the world from mass destruction.
This came as shock even to Sartaj, that his father; an honest and sincere cop he used to see as his ideal, is being praised by a crime lord like Ganesh gaitonde.
And this made him not care about what was going to happen. But then, he finds out that whoever went against the guruji was killed, so was his father. This restores his faith in god. He again wholeheartedly starts his stop the chaos planned and about to happen.
