Raquel was the mother of a daughter, a daughter of a living mother suffering from short memory illness, and abused by her ex-husband. She was pretty stressed when heist was taking place, Salva provided her with warmth and care. This made her feel really good, a priceless experience which she was longing for a very long time.

Berlingot angry and capitalized on a situation when he allowed a journalist inside and pulled his master manipulation techniques to his service and engineered a positive perception in the masses of Spain. There he reveals to general public that he is suffering from a terminal disease and won’t be able to make it after some months.

In final events, the professor calls for a tunnel-digging from his place in Madrid to vault pf Royal Mint. during tunnel digging, Raquel caught him up but, quickly a member of digging crew tranquilizes her tighs her in iron shackles.
And then, she admits that the professor can trust her. So professor orders to evacuate the mint through the tunnel, but then berlin, who was sure that he will die anyway, decides to sacrifice his life for others safe exit. This last act of berlin, besides his understanding of human nature and psychopathic tendencies, earned this character a whole different fan following.
